Electronic vacuum controller / leakage detector for vacuum infusion and bagging

I made a vacuum controller with the Arduino Universal Power Control (UPC) board. This controller is used in conjunction with a vacuum pump. It measures the vacuum and controls a vacuum pump to keep the vacuum constant at an adjustable level between 0 and 100 kPa.

The controller has three applications:

  • Vacuum level controller
  • High sensitivity vacuum leak indicator
  • Electronic vacuum gauge

Sale

I haven't had time to produce the controller for sale yet, but if you're interested, let me know

Vacuum level controller

Some vacuum manufacturing processes require a certain vacuum level, for example 80kPa instead of full vacuum (0 kPa). This controller automatically switches off the vacuum pump when the desired vacuum is reached.

High sensitive vacuum leak detector

The controller measures the leakage in Pa per second. The smallest leak can be detected due to the very high sensitivity. Your measured vacuum leakage will never be zero in practice.
In contrast to a rotating vacuum leak flow indicator, there are no moving parts and so the meter is insensitivity to contamination and wear.

Electronic vacuum gauge

The vacuum is measured in kPa relative to ambient air pressure.
