I have developed a new type of luggage rack that radically departs from existing solutions. The design unites minimalism, functionality, and aesthetics in a single ultralight whole.

During my search for a suitable luggage rack for my Cube Nulane e-bike, I kept running into the same problem: existing racks were impractical and unattractive. Almost all of them are built from rods and designed for panniers. As a result, you can’t even carry a loose cycling jacket, because it simply falls through. Even the expensive titanium Tubus Airy rack remains trapped in this traditional concept.

No rack matched the low weight and clean aesthetics of the bike. This shortcoming became the motivation to develop a better alternative myself. The result is a luggage rack weighing just 300 grams.

The core of the design is a solid panel instead of an open rod frame. This visually aligns with the design language of carbon bikes. Both small and larger items can be easily secured with Velcro straps. This makes panniers unnecessary, resulting in a significant weight saving.

This luggage rack combines practical usability with a sleek and elegant appearance. By consciously deviating from traditional design conventions, a solution has been created that truly meets the demands of modern, lightweight carbon sports bikes. The usable surface measures 380 mm × 160 mm. Although not intended for heavy loads, the rack can withstand a static load of 70 kg.
